Plot

The film begins in 1881, with Jesse James and his gang of outlaws on the run from the Pinkerton Detective Agency. James is a charismatic and ruthless outlaw, but he is also beginning to show signs of age and weariness. Ford is a young and ambitious outlaw who idolizes James and wants to join his gang.
