About the Author

Adam Zagajewski is one of the most acclaimed poets writing today. He was born in Lwów, Poland, in 1945. He has published over 20 books of poetry, as well as several essays and works of literary criticism. Zagajewski has received numerous awards for his work, including the Neustadt International Prize for Literature and the Griffin Poetry Prize. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. Zagajewski lives in Krakow, Poland.
